Blimey i must be old then. I 1st got into Glam during the 1970's! I remember seeing all the old Glam bands, Sweet, Slade, Glitter, Quatro, Mud,T-Rex etc on Top of the Pops. The 1st live band I saw though was Slade during about 1978.My interested with these glam bands were put on hold a little from about 77 or 78 with the Punk and New Wave bands, and my interest in NWOBHM bands. Then along came Twisted Sister and Hanoi Rocks during the 80's and the world found a pathway for me in music. By the time I discovered Wrathchild about 1983 my mind was made up which music to follow. All the other bands followed for me. The more Glam / Sleaze bands I got into, the bigger the hair got and the more the make-up piled on.

Started going to gigs in 1988, when I was 17. Was more into mainstream hard rock at that time (Bon Jovi, Crue, Whitesnake, White Lion), but my first 'glam' albums were Poison's 'Look What The Cat Dragged In' and Tigertailz's 'Young And Crazy'.
Used to spend most of my weekends down london checking out the great scence mid to late 80's & the early 90's. so many good gigs ,boozers etc.. Ohhh hang on I got that all wrong according to my mate sick I've only been into this scene 3 years & this week I must go buy myself some original cds LMAO
Those times were great in London, Ian. And the last 2-3 years has seen something of a revival down here. Maybe it never actually went away, but I do admit to falling out-of-touch until I discovered this place late in 2002.
